On Sunday 28 December, during the ‘12 Holy Nights’, I am organising a nocturnal silent walk together with my dear friend Sacha Post. The period between Christmas and Epiphany is a most remarkable time. Although the holidays may tempt us to engage in all kinds of festive activities, nature calls us to introspection, tranquillity, and silence. To seek out this silence, both within ourselves and in the forest, we will embark on a longer silent walk in the evening, in the darkness of night. This walk is an invitation to entrance the inner silence within yourself with every step and, in this expansion, to encounter nature and its beauty in a completely different way.
“A day of Silence
Can be a pilgrimage in itself.” — Hafez
This evening, we will walk in a small group along a beautiful route through winding forest paths in the Chaamse Bossen in Brabant. We will open and close together, and during a few breaks, Sacha and Sven will take the time to share some thoughts about this remarkable time of year. The walk is an chance to leave the hustle and bustle of the festive season outside the boundaries of the forest and to become aware of the clarity that lies within your own being in order to dream about what you wish to bring into the world.
