Hospice
de Waterlelie
From the moment we see the light of day and are allowed to manifest in this form, the walk of our lives begins and we all walk towards the inevitable moment when we will enter the great silence. It is the innate destiny of all that lives and grows. Through the many sounds that life has to offer, we are given the opportunity to prepare ourselves for the great silence that awaits, towards which we all walk together, each on a path that is unique to his being. By the good grace of many loving people who came before us, places have been established where people walk by the hand of other people to take the last step of their life walk, we call these places a 'Hospice'. For people who are not familiar with the concept of a hospice, a hospice is an institution with a pleasant homely atmosphere that specializes in terminal care. In the so-called 'house' we try to keep (or get) the quality of life as good as possible in the last period of life. There is also a beautiful place in Spijkenisse that bears the beautiful name 'De Waterlelie'; the water lily that, like the lotus flower, is born in the mud but grows into the beauty of a flower whose petals do not get wet by the water. A place that deserves to be kept alive so that people can leave their dear lives behind them in safety.
Sven and Nina donate 20% of all proceeds from both the events and the sale of the art to this beautiful place, a place that deserves to be kept alive so that people can leave their precious lives behind in safety.
“As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world”
— Buddha
Sven cherishes the dream to not only create services but also to further practice his service in the world in order to continue to give back to the life that gives us all so abundantly. By passing on part of the money, we ensure that money continues to flow to places, initiatives, and projects that really need it, and in this way, we try to give back to the world.
If you have the opportunity to make a (small) financial contribution, please know that this is more than welcome and that you are contributing to a beautiful place in the world. Perhaps you have some spare change that you can spare or you can ask family, friends, acquaintances, or colleagues. Perhaps the company you work for still has an opportunity to contribute. Please know that any amount, no matter how big or small, is welcome and greatly appreciated.
Would you like to donate? This can be done via account number NL66RABO0327227397 in the name of ‘Stichting Vrienden van Hospice de Waterlelie’.
