Be soft as rolling clouds
Dear All,
Once a pupil came to his teacher and asked: “Tell me about life! ” to which the teacher replied: “Tell you? What is there to tell? Just be quiet and you'll hear it yourself.” They walked together in silence for a while until they came to a beautiful rolling landscape, outlined by picturesque clouds, overlooking a flowing stream in which the reflection of fluttering birds was visible. The teacher said nothing and stood still. The young pupil, impatient as many young men are, walked up to the teacher and said: “Okay, I am ready, show me…” “Show you? ” said the teacher, “What is it that I can show you other than what life already reveals to all of us in our immediate experience? Do not expect to hear from me what only silence can tell you, do not expect me to show you what you must meet with your own eyes. Be soft as rolling clouds, drink humbly from the flowing stream but flutter joyfully in wonder and perhaps then your questions will be answered.”
“Drink humbly from the flowing stream but flutter joyfully in wonder.”
May your week be full of wonder, sven
